Dear Julianne,
In regards to your Weight Loss Surgery Secrets Gold Package, I certainly believe that I would bring Winning to another dimension, sound crazy? Well, maybe not as crazy as my passion to see others well, healed, and living productive lives.
Julianne, Mine is not just another story, why because it is mine; a real journey for life. I was always considered obese, as a child it was horrifying, as a young person growing up I was looking for love in all the wrong places, as an adult I went from one bad relationship to another.
In 1982 while walking down the hallway of the elementary school where my girls attended, I could see the snickers on the faces of the children, they would stare as I passed, pointing their fingers at me and laughing. I was so humiliated, I cried most of the time while smiling on the outside to keep up with my carefree personality. I truly became aware of “the what if’s” you know, what if my girls had seen the children laugh at mom? What if my girls didn’t love me because I was so fat? The “what if’s” were overwhelming.
In April of 1982 I was introduced to weigh-loss surgery, WOW I thought never having to be overweight again could this be real or I’m I dreaming? I quickly made an appointment with this surgeon, he put he through the wringer as far as testing, psycho analysis and on and on. But on July 2, 1982 my life changed, I underwent the Biliopancreatic Derision (BPD). This procedure is rarely done today as those of us that had the BPD suffer from malnutrition due to malabsorption, and I was right in the middle of that group. Many hospitalization, dehydration, malnutrition, I had many struggles over 35 hospitalizations. I say this not scare someone from having weight-loss surgery but to encourage everyone, no matter what your procedure is to see your doctor on a regular basis, have your blood work done as directed by your physician. It’s all about living your best life ever, and you cannot do it alone. Well I lost 90 pounds in the first 90 days – WOW! I began to think and believe I could do this on my own. The truth was I needed support more than another time in my life. I did get to 250 pounds and left so much better, did I say I started this journey at 400 pounds? So losing 150 pounds was phenomenal.
In 1999 my husband and I adopted a baby at his birth, what a wonderful blessing, it wasn’t until March 2005 that I took another look at who I was, then looking at this little guy and remembering the snickers on the kids faces I had received at school that I believed I would never live to see this little boy grow into manhood. That scared me to my senses, I vowed that day March 15, 2005 to get a hold of myself and take the weight off for life. I discussed my plan of attack with my physician and began by cutting the carbohydrates and started walking, I knew only one thing for sure I had to burn more calories than I took in. Today I now weigh 144lbs; I went from 400lbs to size 4. I have left my previous career and am devoting my life to helping others who struggle with weight-management. I am working on my PhD and I meet with individuals helping them on their own journey. I look for ever opportunity to share my story believing If I help only one I will have done the right thing and that is what my life is all about. My name is Ginette and i am 62 years old, to old you say? I believe that my life is worth saving and if Weight Loss Surgery Secrets will empower me to become a determined successful person then i believe i should win. I never was overweight until i married when i was 18 years old and have been that way since. I have a difficult time sticking with lossing weight over a long period of time and give up the fight. It is difficult to stick to this battle and i need all the help that i can get. Some part of me feels perhaps that i don’t deserve to be slim and the other part of me is crying out for help. I feel over whelmed and give up to easy only to start all over again. I am so tired of this merry go round.

I believe you want me to win this, Julianne, because I have so many contacts in the WLS world. I work for a WLS surgeon, and I run support and therapy groups. I do assessments for the doctor and make psychological treatment plans to help people get ready for surgery and recover at their optimum afterwards. I hope you will allow me to be a winner. I found a surgeon. I wrote my letter, filled out my packet, submitted it, saw the doctor, got approved by insurance, and voila’! Before I knew it, I was on that gurney down to the operating room. I remember thinking, “I could die from this.” And I remember answering myself, “Yes, but I don’t want to live like this.”
And so, my life began again. Before you can say “Do you want fries with that?” I had lost 110 pounds. There was nothing in my closet that fit! I was giddy with myself. To be quite honest, I made some mistakes.
But, as sure as the pendulum swings, my life came back to balance. Now I help others discover the hope that they can wear cutesy outfits and have self respect and, yes, even make a few mistakes along the way.
This is my story. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

I would love to win a copy of your Weight Loss Survery Gold Package. I have had gastric bypass surgery in August 2006. I am constantly getting questions from friends and relatives about my experiences with the procedure and my opinion. If I could help anyone decide one way or the other, I would love to do that. I had been obese all of my live, and had several co-morbities. Sleep apnea, depression, gastric reflux, thyroid problems, joint pain, and was just miserable. Everything I did to lose weight was useless. For every pound I lost, I would gain two back. Please consider me to have one of your packages, I will read and share any information that I may win.
